Chris Quesnel's "Cherry Chapstick (Acoustic)" Review

Chris Quesnel’s acoustic cover of “Cherry Chapstick” reinterprets the track much more closely to what the fundamentals of music are in essence. This version is quite casual and personal, thus, showcasing Quesnel’s abilities to narrate storeys and display emotions. The sounds of the acoustic guitar are the basic, soft strumming and a powerful voice is provided for the singing which also helps in the creation of a good ambiance. Contrary to this, in this minimalist environment, simplicity transformed the lyrics to blend in and present personal reminiscences. As the lyrics attained the finality of over and over all of the time before, the former raises into gentle and quiet tone to make the listener to take a pause. The climax is most noticeable during the transition into the last part of the song, where the bridge brings a smooth suspense to the song before the final chorus. For lovers of acoustic pop, this version used would equally do nicely for personal listening for people to reflect.
