Hans Halstead's "Six Feet Under" Review

Six Feet Under depicts different aspects of loss concluding with Halstead’s Self Portrait as a true symbol of introspection. The music video is tender in a bleak manner accompanied simply by acoustic guitar and cello occasional production. Halstead’s vocals are coarse, which overall elevates the emotional aspect, as the listeners are taken through sorrow and remembrance. The chorus remains open-ended, which is quite appropriate for many people with unfulfilled desires they cannot find in friends. What has always been so endearing with “Six Feet Under” is that besides bringing forth very strong emotions, it wraps them up in comforter as though it is a hug during troubled times. It will leave endearing this dark folk tale to fans of Nick Cave and Leonard Cohen who seeks for depth even after this has ended.
