“Craving” is one of the splendid tracks by Ian Roland that is an acoustic rock single oozing with passion. Steadily pulsating beat and inventive guitar rhythm backing form an engrossing base to the high energy of Roland’s performance. Making trades on several occasions, the song presents the aspect of longing in such a genuine manner which resounds profoundly throughout heart. Saxophone harmonies and almost inaudible beat gradually join in to add complexity to the song’s melody without detracting from its initial simplicity. The music can be described as full and upbeat, but not overwhelming; this makes “Craving” a personal and emotionally honest ballad. It is an excellent trip for lovers of acoustic rock who are tired of synthetic and fake music and its pitiful attempt to tell a storey.
