“I Should Call Them” is an amazing first record given the theme which touches on enduring and queer relationships and love. The Sudanese-American introduces a variety of such elements as R&B, jazz and pop, thus giving the track a quite fresh and emotional feel. The song recording and arrangement is quite complex and complexation fits well with Saleh’s powerful voice to create profound emotion on the lyrics. Despite its brevity, each track gives an impression of a storey and the fans are encouraged to follow the trail with the artist. As we can see, the title “I Should Call Them” is quite revealing and daring and puts Dua Lipa in the rank of modern pop artists.
