The Stiletto is Gut Health’s first album and as soon as the first note is played the listener can feel the band’s enthusiasm and drive. These six musicians trace the characteristics of live performances in their production, using such elements in the studio recording. Combining energetic and fashionable rhythms with plain and memorable tunes, the album makes a perfect call for dancing. It takes the sound gentle from the late post punk of the late 70s and blends it with the vibe from some indie rock bands of the early 2000s highlighting both eras of music. Every track flows well and has some catchy improvisations which are characteristic of the band, therefore, “Stiletto” can be deemed as a hopeful start for Gut Health.
