The song “Fate & Alcohol” by Japandroids can be considered as the duo’s final hurrah. This album has a louder disposition which is expected from this band while also taking moments to reminisce on their experiences as a group. It manages to render an impeccable combination of the past and the present that benefits fans. All the individual songs have that typical rock inclination with engaging chants and lively beats characteristic of the band. The song is not only an exercise in a grand, hazy romanticism but, combined with the prolific and rather fitting lyricism, an appropriate goodbye for both the band and those that have been listening to them throughout the years.
