Jess and the Bandits - "Preachin’ to the Choir" Review

Jess and the Bandits sing the heck out of ‘Preachin’ To The Choir’ before continuing with the free-spirited and inspirational rallying cry the album was built upon. Again, the melodies based on the rhythm and guitar bring a sense of joy to anyone who seemed to be an odd one out at some point. Jess’s impressive delivery of vocals is evident throughout the track and lyricism of fear turning into love and the pain of mental health into hope. The text was pompous and all the louder when singing it during chorus is suitable for any jubilant singsong session. At the most tactical level of listening, the guitar’s jangly tones and sturdy beats offer are equally nostalgic and familiar. This short film called “Preachin’ to the Choir” listens to the message that all you sometimes need is the boost of one’s own confidence.
