It is not very often to come across an impressive first EP but Wishy is a duo that has made that possible with their hymnal of shoegaze and alt-rock called the Triple Seven. The main theme of the Indianapolis band is contemplation of life and this factor is seen throughout the entire album. Taking this into consideration, every song is filled with harmony and the music, with melodious tunes and fantastic accompaniment, encourages the listeners to travel into the emotions. The songs are perfectly sung, both definitely smooth and intense while telling storeys through catchy choruses. Indeed, the song “Triple Seven” also depicts one of the band’s strengths of a perfect combination of great melodies and aggressiveness. This album should be listened through by anyone who has a little inclination towards listening indie rock music that has some emotion to it.
